The 1990s were a period of great expectation, followed by great disappointment. Meanwhile, a generation coming of age had to grapple with social, sexual and gender issues as the HIV pandemic raged. Apart from remembering that difficult time, Oyunga walks us through the importance of mourning, memory and story telling, arguing that we need to reinvent ourselves.
